You know, we all think that hybrid technology is a result of the high tech revolution; something that was just invented10/15 years ago. I was under the same impression until I did some research. The Hybrid engine has been in existence for over a hundred years. The first hybrid car was built in 1901 by Ferdinand Porsche (sound familiar?) . Thats only 4 years after the diesel engine was built. For some reason it took 100 years to commercialize…..

Any thoughts?

To Buy?

Although I am a fan of hybrids I still have yet to purchase one. I am a lover of cars, always have been. But cars are expensive. So if and when I do buy car I tend to buy cars that are very reliable, usually Japanese cars. Cars that will last me 10 years or so without causing me too many problems are the cars I buy. When I think about hybrids my doubts are arisen as to the quality of the cars being produced. They are still new and the reliability factor is still something that bothers me and hinders me from making that purchase.

Any thoughts?
