You know, we all think that hybrid technology is a result of the high tech revolution; something that was just invented10/15 years ago. I was under the same impression until I did some research. The Hybrid engine has been in existence for over a hundred years. The first hybrid car was built in 1901 by Ferdinand Porsche (sound familiar?) . Thats only 4 years after the diesel engine was built. For some reason it took 100 years to commercialize…..
Any thoughts?

There was in article in this months fast company claiming that Jonathan Goodwin has build a hybrid engine that can get 100 MPG. Yes, thats right 100MPG. It comes to me as no surprise that such a thing can be built. I just question why motor-head messiah can figure this out but our genius car manufacturers over at GM and in Japan can’t?
